Acting Convenor Philip Heady      01376 339292

The next Group meeting is on Thursday 22nd November at 2pm at the usual venue, Christ Church, New London Road.  Visitors are welcome.

We are looking at an early Spring holiday and proposals and possibilities will be outlined at the above meeting.  The Committee’s suggestions for 2020 will also be presented.  Much organised group travel does need a long lead in so this is how it has to be.

The next holiday is in June 2019, a trip to Northern Croatia, with Riviera Travel, with ten having paid their deposits.   This has a Stanstead departure and is for the period 16th to 23rd June.  Any further people interested can contact me to find out more though all details are available on the Riviera Travel website.  I am the Committee member leading on this.

The trip after that is by coach, to Liverpool, 23rd to 27th September 2019.  This is with Tailored Travel and has a full programme of visits to many places of interest.  Twenty-plus members have committed to this trip, including a couple from a neighbouring U3A.  There is room for more.  We will have forms for anyone else who wishes to join us.  Andy Thompson is the Committee member leading on this one.

Since the last newsletter we have had the trip to Stockholm and Copenhagen and the report based on Anne Brereton’s observations is available here.

The Group has its own email address so please make a note of this, please contact me for any information on the Group’s activities.
