We are seeking to run a UK coach holiday in October next year with Just for Groups, ‘The Scenic Severn Valley and the Black Country’.  Several Travel Group members have already expressed an interest and others are welcome to join them.  We expect firm details to emerge a little later in the year.  There will need to be a minimum of 20 travellers for this trip to go ahead at the negotiated price.  No financial commitment is needed at this stage.

The Group’s next holiday is in June 2019, a trip to Northern Croatia, with Riviera Travel.  Fourteen members are due to travel and the now traditional, pre-trip lunch has been fixed.

In September there is our first holiday for solo travellers, to North Cyprus run by Just You.  Seven people have paid their deposits for the trip.

The trip after that is by coach, to Liverpool, 23rd to 27th September 2019.  This is with Tailored Travel and has a full programme of visits to many places of interest.  Over 30 members have paid their deposits for this trip, including some from neighbouring U3As.  There is room for more so contact us if you are interested.  Andy Thompson is the Committee member leading on this one.

Several of you have expressed an interest in a Crete holiday in May 2020 run by Preferred Travel. Brochures are likely to be published in a matter of weeks after which we can get on with firming this one up.  In the meantime, please let Anne Brereton know via if you have yet to let her know you are interested.

The summer social event, the Picnic in the Park, is on Thursday 4th July 2019 at Hylands Park, details for which will follow latter.

By the way, you can see reports on all the previous trips undertaken by the Travel Group if you go to the Branch home page and then go to ‘Travel Group’

If any branch member wishes to be on the Group’s mailing list, please let us know via the above email address.  Please provide your branch registration number if you do so.
