We held our last Group meeting on Thursday 22nd November at the usual venue, Christ Church, New London Road.  Well over 30 members and visitors attended.

We were looking to undertake an early Spring walking holiday but the uptake was relatively poor so we will not now be taking that forward.

The next holiday is in June 2019, a trip to Northern Croatia, with Riviera Travel, with twelve having paid their deposits as more have joined since the last newsletter.   This has a Stansted departure and is for the period 16th to 23rd June.   I am the Committee member leading on this.

The trip after that is by coach to Liverpool, 23rd to 27th September 2019.  This is with Tailored Travel and has a full programme of visits to many places of interest.  Twenty-plus members have committed to this trip, including a couple from a neighbouring U3A.  There is room for more so contact us if you are interested.  Andy Thompson is the Committee member leading on this one.

At our meeting we discussed the possibility of a holiday for single travellers to North Cyprus in September 2019.  This seemed to be well supported and the committee member leading on this, Anne Brereton, is now taking this forward.  If you want any more information at this stage let me know via cu3atravelgroup@outlook.com in the first instance.

At our meeting we also discussed the possibility of a Crete holiday in May 2020.  This too seemed to be well supported.  This is another being led by Anne and should you wish to have any more information at this stage let me know in the first instance.

We discussed possibilities for the late summer of 2020 and the committee were given several ideas.  These will be taken forward and will be reported upon in due course.  Please contact me for any information on the Groupís activities.
